This lady came in with concerns about wrinkles and expressed a desire for Botox injections. While consulting, the doctor pointed out that the patient’s face was asymmetrical. The right side appeared droopier and more sunken compared to the left side. In this case, Botox could be used to help balance them out. After agreeing on the plan, the doctor proceeded with the injections.

• Botox was used to reduce wrinkles and lift both eyebrows equally.

How many units of Botox are needed for the entire face?

The number of units used depends on each patient’s facial features. The following recommended units per area are approximate estimates. Patients may require more or fewer units depending on their individual needs. The doctor will assess and provide guidance accordingly.

For example, some patients already have small cheek muscles and a narrow face, and they may also have sagging cheeks without tightness. In this case, the doctor may not recommend injecting Botox to reduce the masseter muscles but instead suggest Botox lifting. The result is a narrower face with lifted cheeks without the cheeks becoming hollow.
