What is a Slimming pen?
Slimming pen is a Dulaglutide, a drug that increases activity of GLP-1 hormone. GLP-1 is a natural satiety hormone which released while you are having your meal to make you will feel satiety later.
Increasing activity of satiety hormone will result in:
- You will feel full despite consuming less food.
- Makes food stay in the stomach longer so you feel full longer and less hungry.
- Increase metabolism of sugar in blood. Therefore, the blood sugar level is lowered: good for diabetes.
How is Slimming pen different from diet pills ?
Most of diet pills are combination of laxatives, synthetic thyroid hormone, and propranolol (heart disease pills). While using diet pills you will lose weight as you want but your body are disturbed and harmed which will cause long term side effect such as life-long constipation, yo-yo effect, and risk of heart disease.
